HIP is Back and QLIMG Still Has You Covered
Attention Suffolk County Medicare Members

HIP has now announced that it has changed its mind and will continue to offer HIP/VIP coverage to Suffolk County Medicare beneficiaries after January 1, 2001. Please note that the benefit and premium features of the "new" HIP/VIP Plan are different from those of the previous plan.

QLIMG has stuck with you in this period of uncertainty.

When HIP announced its original decision and other HMOs said they were pulling out of Suffolk Medicare, we told you that Queens-Long Island Medical Group (QLIMG) would accept original Medicare and most Medicare supplement plans if that was your choice of coverage. We also told you that we were signing up with Empire Blue Cross if you decided to join that HMO. We continue to accept these other alternatives.

Now that HIP is back, QLIMG has you covered there, too.

As a HIP/VIP member, you will be able - just as in the past - to see your QLIMG physician in Babylon, Ronkonkoma, Hicksville or Woodbury, or at any one of our Centers throughout Queens and Long Island.
